The Motorsport Arena Oschersleben will make a welcome return to the WorldSBK calendar in 2020, having last been visited back in 2004. Coming onto the calendar in 2000, Colin Edwards is famous for his success at the circuit, having taken five wins and one second place from his six races there. The flat layout create a smooth and fast race circuit, which has seen numerous final lap battles across WorldSBK and WorldSSP in years gone by. Oschersleben also marks a return for Germany on the calendar, with the last German round coming from the EuroSpeedway Lausitz in 2017.

When WorldSBK will visit Oschersleben in the sunny months July and August, there is Germanys high summer with hot days at average maximum of 24°C and warm nights at average minimum of 14°C. Rain is unlikely but in case probably heavy.
Oschersleben became the third German circuit to host a round on the calendar in 2000. On the last visit in 2004, Noriyuki Haga and Regis Laconi won, although Colin Edwards has the most wins at the circuit with five, all for Honda.
